Optimize your inks as well as your overall printing process. The Drop Shape Analyzer – DSA Inkjet incorporates intuitive tools for triggering printing electronics and even setting printing parameters for compatible print heads. The resulting jet stream of ink droplets is analyzed with a highly innovative optical system.

The DSA Inkjet offers unprecedented opportunities for filming the drop flight live, automatically analyzing the drops, and obtaining result parameters that are relevant for the print quality. The data is generated as immediate feedback on the dynamically adjustable waveform and is particularly suitable for checking an ink or optimizing the printing process. Easy-to-create automation programs also enable measurements under repeatable conditions to test ink formulations in a standardized manner.

The initial surface tension of ink must be high enough to form proper drops, then it must decrease to achieve good wetting of the substrate. The Bubble Pressure Tensiometer – BP100 reliably analyzes the time-dependent behavior of surfactants and the resulting surface tension, thus enabling you to optimize your ink formulations for specific printing applications.

The instrument covers a wide speed range as part of a single, fully automatic measuring process. When used in research, the BP100 helps to characterize the mobility of surfactants by means of such substance parameters as the adsorption coefficient and diffusion coefficient. This provides a scientific picture of the substances used, which helps to specifically model products containing surfactants.

Determine the wettability of your pretreated or coated material in no time at all using our Mobile Surface Analyzer – MSA with its Liquid Needle dosing technology.

The Liquid Needle turns the once laborious contact angle technique into an ultra-fast quality control method. The MSA uses it to measure the surface free energy (SFE), which is a perfect indicator for the wettability of the surface by aqueous or organic liquids and far more reliable than test inks. Measurements using templates and automated dosing of test liquids ensure operator-independent results, which can be automatically evaluated using predefined limits.

Our MSA analyzes samples of any size, such as automobile bodies. It provides accurate values even for vertical, overhead, and slightly convex samples. The handy instrument can also detect residues of cleaning agents and is capable of doing 1,000 material tests per cartridge charge.
