KRÜSS launches partnership with The University of Chicago
- KRÜSS provides surface science instrumentation to further academic excellence at the University of Chicago
- The university acts as a major hub for surface science research
Charlotte, November 17, 2017 – In June of 2017, KRÜSS and the University of Chicago worked together to develop a partnership to further cutting-edge research opportunities in the Chicago area. As a result of this collaboration, the James Franck Institute has dedicated the KRÜSS Surface Science Laboratory, which will house high-end tensiometers and contact angle measurement instrumentation. The new co-operation extends the scientific network of the company, which already maintains partnerships with other esteemed universities throughout North America, such as UCLA, Stanford, Rice University and the University of Alberta.
This cooperation will enhance both undergraduate and graduate research studies by putting the most advanced tools into talented hands to train the scientists of tomorrow. Additionally, this opportunity allows for industry professionals to interact with the university and KRÜSS in new ways.
Following an initial event on November 9, KRÜSS will also be hosting Surface Chemistry Seminars at the dedicated laboratory. These seminars will cover the fundamentals and practical applications for surface science in industry and academia. Information about seminar dates at different location can be found on the company‘s website: www.kruss-scientific.com/seminars
